Gynandromorph, from the greek words “gyne” meaning female and “andro” meaning male, is an animal that shows characteristics of both sexes. It can be clearly seen in butterflies like this birdwing butterfly, O. goliath procus, from Indonesia. Birdwings are the largest in the world and have a wingspan of up to 12 inches.
